Name: | Sneaky Sneaky Kobolds |
---|
The kobolds are a small, tricksy group of lizard-shaped humanoids, who prefer to steal Shiny and Important Things. They are especially skilled at creating traps and preparing ambushes, and will defend their hoard to the death. Kobolds speak a variation on Draconic, with yips and hisses.
Kobolds will eat anything and everything put in front of them, including bark, leather, dirt, and their own siblings when desperate. They are fertile egg-layers, who hatch after 60 days of incubation and live up to 135 years. They have no concept of monogamy. Many kobold lairs are guarded by boars or giant weasels.
Male kobolds are about ten pounds heavier and three inches taller than females, who range from 3'6"-4'0" and 30-40 pounds. They're rust-colored, with ivory-colored horns. Their eyes glow red, and they can see in the dark up to 60 feet. They smell like a cross between a damp dog and stagnant water. Kobolds are scaled, but the scales on their tails are very fine, so they resemble rats' tails. They never wear shoes, but they often make necklaces out of their own teeth. They keep their claws and horns well polished.
